Class Description

This is a brilliant class for you to learn how to make your own waistcoat. Mark, the pattern designer will be here to teach you all the skills needed for you to sew your own waistcoat, this class will be full of useful tips and tricks to get that professional finish. You might remember that Mark was a finalist on the Great British Sewing Bee 2020. This waistcoat collection comes with four different designs that can all be attached to the same back, so you can really make it your own. Please note this class is for Intermediate Sewers The topics we aim to cover in this lesson: *How to read a pattern *How to transfer all pattern markings *How to construct your garment *Pockets * How to attach a lining Materials needed: • Main Front Fabric: 1m of Wool (woven, boiled, felted), Velvet, Corduroy, Demin, Lining. Cotton, Silk, Satin or Brocade • Back Fabric: 1m of Silk, Satin Sateen, Cotton, Linen, other lining fabrics or matching fabric to the fronts. • Inner Lining: 1m of Silk, Sateen, Cotton, Line or similar lining type fabrics • Buttons • 1 x thread Materials included: • Waistcoat pattern Graded in sizes 38” – 54” We have sewing machines for you to use but if you would like to bring your own please advise us at the time of booking. Refreshments – Tea, coffee and delicious cake are included in your lesson but you will need to bring a lunch.
