Class Description
Our capsule wardrobe classes will run throughout the year on a monthly basis building a wardrobe full of stylish, versatile and practical pieces and at the same time building on your sewing skills and knowledge. You can choose to participate in one or as many of the classes as you wish. This is a great class if you are already a confident beginner and it is a good follow on from our Beginners and Improvers Sewing Masterclass (attendance of this course is not compulsory in order to do this class). So long as you can use a machine and have sewn a garment or two you will enjoy this class. In this “Blouse” class we will be sewing the Puff Shirt Pattern by The Assembly Line. This versatile blouse is easy to wear and a joy to sew. The Puff Shirt pattern has overlap shoulders that create an elegant boatneck. The sleeves are wide at the bottom and gathered with elastic folded inwards which creates a puff sleeve. We have chosen this wonderful blouse pattern as a foundation piece to build a stylish yet practical capsule wardrobe throughout the year. The look of this fab blouse will change dramatically depending on your fabric choice – easy to dress up or down. Preparation for this class: As this is a one day sewing class we ask that those participating in this workshop cut out their paper pattern and fabric to their size before class. To measure yourself correctly either pop into the shop before your class or refer to our measurement guide which can be found in our blog post. Materials Included in this price of this class: The Puff Shirt Pattern By The Assembly LIne – this will be sent out to you 2 weeks before the class. Materials needed: Fabric, lightweight interfacing, elastic, button and matching thread – for correct amounts please refer to the back on your pattern. We do sell fabric, thread and haberdasher in our shop but you will need to purchase this prior to the class in order to have your fabric prepared prior to class. We have sewing machines for you to use but if you would like to bring your own please advise us at the time of booking. Refreshments – Tea, coffee and delicious cake are included in your lesson, but for this lesson you will also need to bring a pack lunch.
