INTRODUCTION TO ENGLISH PAPER PIECING

Class Description

This classic method is how most quilters begin their journey with patchwork. Using fabric and paper and modern methods we can make beautiful items or even quilts if we wanted to. A lovely relaxing hand project that is portable and easy to do. Come and spend a morning playing with fabric and shapes, enjoying the company of other like -minded people. This fabulous class is taught by Debbie Harris from The Sewing Street TV. The topics we aim to cover are: • Cutting templates and fabric • Fixing of shapes to fabric and stitching in place. • You will then learn how to finish English Paper Piecing to use with items such as table runners, bags etc. Materials needed: • Four/five different fabrics of your choice, a fat quarter pack would be perfect for this. All materials are available to purchase in store. We have sewing machines for you to use but if you would like to bring your own please advise us at the time of booking. Refreshments – Tea, coffee and delicious cake are included in your lesson
