Class Description

This is the perfect class for you if you would like to learn and perfect your hand applique skills. In this one day class you will make a pot mat, which will teach you all the skills needed to go home and hand applique quilts, cushions and other craft projects. A full day packed with tips and inspiration. The topics we aim to cover in this lesson: Handling and preparing your fabric. How to cut out card templates Transferring shapes to fabric Preparing different shaped fabrics Fixing the shapes to the backing Needle turn applique Hand quilting the final square. Prepping and attaching the binding Materials needed: Two fat quarters A selection of scraps of other quilting cotton 5/10 embroidery needles Small bottle of fabric glue Aurifil 80 cotton thread in colour Dove Refreshments - Tea, coffee and delicious cake are included in your lesson, but for this class you will need to bring a packed lunch.
