Dates Available: Thursday 14th Sept - Thursday 12th Oct 2023 16.15-18.00pm £85 Thursday 16th Nov - 14th Dec 2023 16.15-18.00pm £85 This course runs for 5 weeks, the cost is for the complete course mateials are extra Tutor: Caroline Are you creative? Do you want to learn how to make your own clothes? Then this course is for you! Over this 5 week dressmaking course we will be there every step of the way to guide you to the perfect article. Please note you must be able to use a sewing machine, if you are unable to do so please look at our Tween’s Know Your Sewing Machine Class. The topics we aim to cover are: Learn how to measure yourself Read & cut out a commercial pattern Understand terms used Cut your fabric correctly Methods of putting your garment together Tips on which seams to use and where Correct pressing techniques Materials needed: Please contact me when booking so that I may recommend the pattern needed for this class and provide you with fabric and haberdashery requirements We have sewing machines for you to use but if you would like to bring your own please advise us at the time of booking. REFRESHMENTS: Squash and homemade cake are included in your lesson.
